Manhattan's latest addition to the mega-club revival is part steamy Shanghai lounge and part la vida loca Latin dance club. LQ packs five different experiences into 15,000 square feet: a crowded singles-heavy bar, a recessed dance floor surrounded by banquettes, a downstairs lounge set to the sounds of hip-hop and R&B, a VIP lair beneath Chinese-style marble arches and yet another upstairs VIP lounge. When LQ, the legendary Uptown dance hall, moved from its uptown locale to its new location on Lexington Ave and East 48th Street inside the Radisson Hotel, it brought to the area one of the hottest and most popular new venues in all of midtown. Upon arriving on ritzy Lexington Ave, this HUGE dance spot immediately became the place to see and be seen.
The doormen behind the velvet ropes greet everyone with a smile but only give the nod in to those who have the juice to get in or can afford the VIP Table service.
